Mandala Workshops
A restorative and creative outlet for individuals of all ages.
What is a Mandala
Mandala art is a form of circular meditative art that offers a structured yet creative space for self-expression, self discovery and gentle transformation.
Mandala, meaning “whole” or “complete” in Sanskrit, are found across many different cultures and traditions and they are used in ritual, meditation, and healing. Making a mandala is a mindful process-oriented creative practice—it’s not about the final artwork, but about what emerges within you as you create.
In modern life we have largely lost communal gathering and creative expressive environment leaving fewer opportunities for intentional spaces for self-expression, self reflection, sharing & group connection.
Art-making offers a way to restore the fundamental human need to create, reflect, and connect to oneself and others through shared art based experiences.

Sacred Geometry Mandala Workshops & Programmes
These workshops bridge together art, mathematics and meditation offering a structured approach to mandala making using tools like compasses and rulers, allowing participants to slow down, cultivate deep concentration and focus, and experience the calming rhythm of precise, meditative art.
Expressive Mandala Workshops
A guided process using prompts to explore emotions, life transitions, culture, or personal themes. No art experience is needed—participants use shapes, colors, materials, imagery and words to reflect their inner world. Mandala practices can be intentionally tied to a group intention, aspirations, future visioning—mapping hopes, dreams, or aspirations for oneself or a group. This transforms creativity into a powerful tool for personal and collective empowerment.
Nature Mandala Workshops
Held in outdoors, participants experience the restorative benefits of art making whilst in nature and cultivating a deeper connection to their local landscape and creating a nature inspired mandala. Grounding and sensory-rich, this experience deepens our relationship with the land, reconnects us to place, season, and each other.
Benefits
Supports Emotional Regulation & Processing
Art offers a non-verbal outlet for emotions that may be difficult to articulate. It helps release stress and tension, soothe anxiety and gives shape and form to feelings. Engaging in creative, mindful activities has been shown to increase serotonin levels and regulate emotions - promoting a sense of ease, calm, and wellbeing.
A Restorative Pause from Technology
It provides a quiet space for individuals to slow down and step away from technology and the fast pace of daily life. Engaging in art-making with no pressure of any outcome offers a restorative pause, allowing the body and mind to slow down, rest, and reconnect to the present moment.
Creates space for reflection and processing
The mandala acts as a visual container for inner experiences to be expressed. It can offer expanded perspectives, shift emotional states and support individuals in making meaning of challenges and transitions through visual storytelling and symbolism.
Builds resilience through process
Through creative exploration, you cultivate patience, learn to stay with uncertainty, make choices, mistakes and adapt. This builds emotional flexibility and strengthens your ability to navigate change and challenge.
Fosters Play, Imagination & Joy
Play and imagination are essential for mental vitality, helping to release creative blocks and reignite inspiration. When we allow ourselves to explore freely through colour, pattern, and shape, we strengthen the muscle of imagination—an essential skill for innovation, problem solving, getting in touch with our aspirations and creating a more hopeful future.
Fosters confidence in creative abilities
Completing a mandala cultivates a sense of accomplishment, achievement and self esteem. The individual engages in the unfolding of the creative process, experiencing the feeling of creating something tangible through their own inner resources - “I made this”. This boosts confidence, self agency and empowerment of what one is capable of achieving and creating in their own personal life.
Fosters belonging and connection
In group settings, sharing opens pathways for authentic connection, empathy, and storytelling. It creates meaningful connection and shared reflection, strengthening social bonds and understanding of one another.
Marks Life Transitions
Throughout time and across cultures, people have used visual symbols to mark significant life moments. Mandalas offer a contemporary way to honour and give form to the different life transitions we experience. They can be symbolic “time stamps” that hold the energy, feelings, and intentions of that moment in time. When revisited later, they can be symbolic reminders of how far we’ve come, what we’ve learned, how we have grown. Art can be a tangible way to marking our growth, progress and transformations.
