This workshop offers space to pause and connect with our creativity, inner wisdom, the season of spring and with each other.
Creating a mandala is a form of meditative art-making, and mandalas can act as symbolic time-stamps — marking moments, transitions, and seasons in our lives.
We will begin the morning with a grounding meditation & contemplation exercise.
Then using a compass, you will be guided step-by-step through creating a seven-circle Seed of Life geometric pattern. From there, you’ll be invited to follow your creative instincts to develop your own unique mandala. There will be time to reflect and explore the symbolism your mandala holds for you. No artistic experience is needed.
Making art is a somatic process, the rhythmic & repetitive process of making a mandala helps quieten the mind and enable us to tap into our bodys wisdom and intuition. We can often access deeper insights about ourselves and life in the creative process, as art is our most primitive form of communication.
All materials will be provided. You’ll have the choice to work with watercolours, markers, or colouring pencils, allowing you to explore the mediums you enjoy most.
